BlackBerry Plans To Launch Two Android Devices Soon

As BlackBerry released an Android phone called Priv, it was admitted that it was too expensive. Analysts calls this the "last opportunity"for BlackBerry to bounce back, in terms of hardware devices.
In an interview with Abu Dhabi-based publication The Nation, BlackBerry Chief Executive Officer John Chen said that there would be one Android handset this year, that it would have a keyboard and one full touchscreen, although he didn't give the exact time it would be out.
John Chen said "The fact that we came out with a high-end phone (as our first Android device) was probably not as wise as it should have been."
"A lot of enterprise customers have said to us, 'I want to buy your phone but $700 is a little too steep for me I'm more interested in a $400 device'."
The launch of the two Android phones should be affordable (mid-range) and have good new features. Although analysts have said that the company is facing challenges in backdrop of a slowing smartphone market and intense competition in the mid-range space.
