Nigeria Hasn't Applied For Loan-FG

Nigeria, Africa's largest economy has being facing economic crisis and the Federal Government has said that Nigeria could still survive without borrowing money from the IMF (International Monetary Fund).
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun said in a meeting with IMF in Washington, that Nigeria could survive without having to borrow from the IMF (which insists that Nigeria should devalue it's currency).
The Minister's Spokesperson Mr. Akanbi, said that the Minister in a response to a question asked by the IMF about why Nigeria has not applied for IMF loans, said that Nigeria was adaptive to its new realities by implementing fiscal policies to boost the country's economy by diversifying it.
she added that with the policies, Nigeria would show positive growth  by 2017.
According to Punch, Mrs Adeosun said "Nigeria is not sick and even if we are, we have our own local remedy. The real vulnerability in the zNigerian economy is over-dependence on a single source of revenue,'oil'".
