The New York Legislators in the United States are considering to introduce a technology known as breathalysers that would detect whether a driver's phone has been used in making/receiving calls that might have led to an accident.
According to BBC; an Israeli company Cellebrite is reported to be developing technology that could allow checking of a phone's recent activity, but they say they would adapt to it to make sure that no scanning equipment could logging the contents of numbers called or text messages. It has been reviewed that some accidents could be caused by drivers using their mobile devices while on steering.
