India Says They Require Licence For Map App

Map apps have been around for a while and India is set to introduce legislation in it, which means that unlicensed "mappings" would be banned.

 The bill they want to introduce would definitely affect  top players in the sector, which includes Google, Apple and Uber.
 The India government says  the rules would not cause business barriers, if the bill becomes a law.
 They also said, offenders could be fined up to 10.4 million Euros.
 According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the bill was to designed to regulate both the creation and distribution of geospatial information in India "which is likely to affect the security sovereignty and integrity of the country.
