Apple has just recently been granted a patent for a technology that would stop users smartphone cameras  to be used during events and concerts.

How The Technology Works

The smartphone camera would receive coded infrared signals that is beamed from emitters in public places (such as stadium, halls etc).

Then the users smartphone would get a pop-up notification or the cameras would  just disable from taking pictures.
Tech analysts say "It could harm Apple in the eyes of some people." That means it would stop users freedom from recording great moments in events.
But on the other hand, it would favor event-makers. Because even football clubs sell broadcast rights and when people record events such as a scene where a goal is being scored and then the person uploads it online, it may reduce their expected returns.

Imagine a situation when you are in an event hall and you are with your smartphone and you wanted to capture your favourite celebrity and your camera does not work, how will you feel ?
