How MTN's Fine Would boost Nigeria's Economy

 As MTN the South African based telecoms  firm finally agreed to pay the N300 billion fine that the Nigerian Communications Commission imposed on them, financial analysts have said that it is likely to have a positive effect on the Nigeria's economy.

 According to a report by First bank, it said that "We assume, however, that this fine, and those levied by other public bodies, will be paid to the Federal Government of Nigeria and not the relevant regulator."
 Adding that "This would be constitent with the determination of the federal finance Ministry to maximise its non-oil collection."
