I Know Why Nigerians Are Suffering-Buhari

The President of Nigerian, Muhammadu Buhari while receiving a courtesy visit by the Unilever plc, has stated the reason why Nigeria is suffering.

  He revealed this at the State House in Abuja on Monday when he received the Chief Global CEO of Unilever, Mr.Paul Polman, Managing Director Unilever Nigeria, Mr. Yaw Nsarko and Chairman Unilever Nigeria, HRH Igwe Nnaemeka Alfred Achebe.


 President Buhari said Nigeria is suffering today because it failed to save for the rainy days. He said "We refused to save for the rainy day. Now the rain is beating us. No money, no savings, nothing and we are thoroughly wet from the rain."
 He added that Nigeria is suffering today because it turned herself into a mono economy but assured that with time, Nigeria would soon start exporting with the help of agriculture.



 The Chief Global CEO of Unilever Mr. Paul Polman said that "The desicion to invest and continue to invest is very encouraging.' he added that "Unilever had invested about N15 billion in Nigeria under three years."
