MTN Finally Appoints New CEO, After Settling Nigeria's Dispute

Telecoms giant, MTN has on Monday appointed a new Chief Executive Offficer to head the firm, after resolutions with the Nigerian government on the huge fine imposed on them.

 The new CEO, accordding to MTN is named Rob Shuter who is a South African and is currently the CEO Vodafone Europe. Mr. Shuter is expected to act as the new President of MTN and would be made the CEO by 2017.
 In a statement, MTN said "following the successful resolution of the Nigerian dispute, it has completed the review of it's governance and management structures."


 Rob Shuter is to take over from Phuthuma Nhleko, who stteped in as  CEO in November 2015, during the thick of the fine imposed on MTN.
