Microsoft Acquires Gaming-Startup Beam

Tech giant, Microsoft has on Thursday acquired an interactive game streaming service called Beam, the game lets viewers play along with fellow streamers as they watch also.




 According to Microsoft "Beam will be part of Microsoft's Xbox team and remains committed to it's mission of importing users and streamers across platforms."




 Beam fouder and CEO, Matt Slsmand; told TechCrunch's Darrel Etherington via email that he is "really excited about Xbox's focus on community,"



 Adding that "Beam is fundamentally built on a connected group of passionate individuals that love gaming and Xbox is super in tune with that."
