#WorldMalariaDay: US Had Spent Over $75M Annually to Fight Disease in Nigeria


For the record, the United States government has announced that it has spent $75 million annually in the last 4 years to fight malaria in Nigeria.

 David J. Young, the US Deputy Chief of Mission, disclosed this at its embassy in Abuja.
He said "Today, April 25, people across the world would lend their voices and renew commitment as part of global events to control malaria".

 He said Nigeria had also received approximately $419 million from the US government President's Malaria Initiative (PMI) between 2010 and 2016.
