Kano Govt. spends N200 Million to train mechanics and panel beaters


Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the Kano state governor has on Wednesday said the state has spent over N200 million to train over 200 indigenes of the state to acquire skills as Mechanics, panel Beaters and Welders at the Peugeot Automobile of Nigeria Training centre.

 Ganduje said in Kaduna when he visited the trainees in Kaduna to access their performance, that the initiative was to reduce the level of unemployment in the state and to provide a skilled manpower in modern mechanics and mechatronics.

 The governor who was represented by his Commissioner for Information, Mallam Garba Mohammed said that an earlier batch of 50 trainees who had graduated from the training have been provided working tools and are gainfully self-employed as mechanics, panel beaters and welders in the state.
