Nigeria looses close to $300 Million Yearly To Software Piracy- ICT Minister

 Adebayo Shittu, the Minister of ICT on Monday has stated that not less than $287 million is being lost to software piracy annually in Nigeria.

 According to TheNation; the Minister stated this at a programme organized by the league of veteran journalists in Ibadan, Oyo state.
 He said his Ministry had taken protection of intellectual property more seriously, also adding that it would continue to ensure enforcement of promotion of creativity in Nigeria.
 He said their has being growth in demand for (online) workers in the international and local markets, he said Nigeria was prepared to train it's youths and also enhance their Information and Communication Technology (ICT) capacity building skill acquisition.
