How 3 Cross River State Revenue Staffs Were Arraigned Over Alleged Missing Funds

Reports have it that, 3 staffs of the Cross River State revenue service have being arraigned by the State Police in Calabar, the capital of Cross River State over alleged missing funds that were undisclosed.

 According to CrossRiverWatch, the allegations were made available in a report of investigation of the Ministries, departments and Agency's MDAs by the Cross River State House of Assembly.

 The names of the officials remained anonymous., and according to source when they were asked to defend themselves they could not explain how the funds were being spent.

 The Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon John Gaul Lebo speaking on the matter told newsmen that "The House of Assembly did an investigation of the various MDAs with a view to seeing hpow we can block the loopholes and improve government revenue to cope with present financial drought but in the course of our investigation, we discovered that some monies could not be accounted for and we recommended the arrest and prosecution of those involved to the Governor and their arrest has being effected."
