How Militants Attack Cost Government 16.2 Billion Just In May-Kemi Adeosun

The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun has lamented at the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting in Abuja that N16.2 billion ($57.88 million) was lost to militant attacks.

 TheCable reported that, she said there was an appreciable drop in crude production and exports due to force Majuere declared at the Forcados terminals and the shutting down of pipelines at other terminals for repairs and maintenance after militant attacks.

 In her words, she said "As a result, federation export revenue decline by $57.88 millon even though the average price of crude oil increased from $29.02 in January."
