Lagos Cyber Criminals Sentenced To Jail For Defrauding Canadian Woman Of $32,2200

The Ikeja High Court has on Thursday sentenced a 25 year old Patrick Ezeji to two years imprisonment fo allegedly defrauding a Canadian woman named Sheila Griffiths of $32,220.

 According to NAN, the convict was araigned by Nigeria's Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in a two count charge of conspiracy to steal and stealing.
 Although Ezeji, the convict promised to return the money but the justice handling the case, Kudirat Jose said that he would be sentenced, so that his punishment would serve as a deterrent to youths who might want to engage in such crime.
 The EFCC had it that Patrick Ezeji and his accompice (who would soo be investigated) Anthony Okpara conspired to defraud Mrs Sheila Griffiths of the sum of $32,220 through online means.
