Nigeria's Inflation Rate Rises To 15.6% In May-NBS Reports

A report by the Nigerian Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Tuesday showed that Nigeria's inflation rate rose to 15.6% in May as compared to April in which it stood at 13.7%.

 According to the NBS report, it said "The increase in rates in May relative to April reflects an overall increased in general price level across the economy as all divisions which contribute to the Headline index, increased at a faster pace in May,"
 The report added that faster pace "was driven by higher food pices in Fish, Bread and Cereals, and Vegetables groups for the second consecutive month."
