The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft that departed Singapore Airlines which was forced to make an emergency landing due to an identified fault, caught fire on a runway in Singapore.

 According to a statement by a passemger identified as Lee, he said "The Pilot then informed us there was a leak and that the plane would have to turn back to Changi Airport as it did not have enough fuel for the journey."
 "The right engine caught fire after coming down at about 6:50 am (on Monday)."
 "The blaze on the runway was quite fierce and we waited for around two or three minutes before the fire engines arrived."
 Fortunately no life was lost, and the fire was put out by the emergency fire squad.
