Ayade Praises Nigerian Army for Conquering Boko Haram

The Cross River State governor, , Senator Ben Ayade has congratulated the Nigerian Army for their efforts in reclaiming areas of the country controlled by the Boko Haram terrorists in the North-East.

The governor stated this at the launching of 2017 Armed Forces Remembrance Emblem at the cultural Centre Complex in Calabar on Thursday.
 He was represented by his Deputy, Professor Ivara Esu. He said the reclaiming of the territories by the Nigerian Army has restored confidence in the lives of residents in the areas and Nigerians in general.
 The governor through his deputy said “The Nigerian Armed Forces recently demonstrated its gallantry and capacity by reclaiming all areas that were previously controlled by Boko Haram insurgents in the North Eastern part of Nigeria.”
“Many of these fallen soldiers lost their lives in the process of peace keeping while some were mortally injured and became physically incapacitated.”
“Some families of these fallen heroes are now going through difficult times without their breadwinners.
“Such a situation calls for sober reflection and concern on every part of every one of us as they laid down their lives so that you and I may have peace.” the Governor said.

 Security heads in the state including the Navy, Army, Air Force, Police and others were present at the meeting.
