Dangote Sells Noodles Company to Indomie’s Dufil

Dangote Flour Mills has stopped its noodle’s production and sold its facilities to Dufil Prima foods, the makers of Indomie noodles, saying it no longer considers it strategic.
The company made the announcement on Tuesday that, in order to smoothen the transition; it has offered Dufil the use of some facilities on an interim basis.

The noodles business was part of DFM, which the Dangote group had recently reacquired from Tiger brands.

 The Group Managing Director, Dangote Flour Mills, Thabo Mabo, said the divestment was part of strategies of focusing on core areas of flour and pasta production, which the company had substantial market share.
