Ekiti Governor Imposes 7-day Curfew as Youths Die in Communal Clash

Youths of Igbra-Odo in Ekiti South West Local Government area had a brief clash and left no fewer than two persons dead and many others injured.
It was revealed that the youths under the aegis of Federation of Igbara-odo Students union, which comprises of current students and old students of the community had distributed some fliers to residents early  on Friday morning.

 In the flier, they demanded from the community monarch, the Arajika of Igbara-odo to know what happened to money that the community made in the last celebration of the anniversary of the community, they also asked for their members to be among the council of chiefs and some other things.
In summary, the youths later turned it to terror as they vandalized all vehicles on sight and attacked the divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the town.
A youth was killed and also a policeman was lynched to death and his rifle was taken.
Governor Ayodele Fayose who arrived the scene in company of security operatives met with all the people of the town, the chiefs as well as some political leaders of the grassroots.

Fayose vowed to get to the roots of the crisis, as well as arrest all those who have perpetrated the evil, and he imposed a 7-day curfew, which lasts from 7am to 6 pm daily in the community.
