How Three Died in Rivers after cultist did their job

At least three persons have been feared killed in a cult clash in Alode community, in the Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State.

The trio were said to be members of a cult, who had gone on a reprisal for the alleged burning of their houses and the killing of their leader.
A community source said the men were shot dead as they approached a neighbouring community, where those who set the houses ablaze in Eleme were allegedly residing.
It was gathered that the targets of the group, who were aware of the reprisal, had informed security operatives of the plot to attack them
“When the youths came to attack the rival group in Alode, security operatives had been informed about the planned attack.
“As soon as they appeared, they were confronted by the security operatives. Three of the armed youths were shot dead,” a resident said.
The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Nnamdi Omoni, said the incident at Alode in Eleme was a cult clash.

“The incident at Alode Eleme was purely a cult clash; it has nothing to do with police or any security agent,” Omoni added.
