‘Like Judas, El-Rufai betrayed Obasanjo, Atiku,’ APC chieftain cautions Presidency

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank has cautioned the Presidency ‘not to fall to the antics’ of Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna state.

Reacting to comments attributed to the Women Affairs Minister, Aisha Alhassan, Frank noted that El-Rufai has record of betraying all his benefactors.
Frank also warned that the claim by the governor of a 'Buharist' group amounts to disservice to some other Nigerians who truly love the President.
In a statement in Abuja on Saturday, September 9, 2017, Frank described Mama Taraba’s ‘endorsement’ of former vice president, Atiku Abubakar for the 2019 Presidency as show of ‘honesty and not a disrespect for President Buhari.’
His words: “The President Buhari I knows is a man of the people. The President knows people who are truly his own and when people are talking of loyalty, El-rufai should keep quite because he is not known to be one. A serial betrayal like this governor has no record of loyalty to anybody.
"Governor El-rufai does not have electoral value and credibility to force the President to contest in 2019. Buhari is in best position to take such decision by himself.”
Frank alleged that El-Rufai’s was doing all that to blackmail the President into his endorsement should in case Buhari does not seek re-election in 2019.
"When Nigerians were busy praying for safe return of Mr President from his medical leave to London some months back, it was alleged that the likes of El-rufai were busy scheming on how to become the Vice President.

"El-rufai is known to singing sycophantic praises whenever is in government. He did it to former President Olusegun Obasenjo and later abandoned him. He did it to Alhaji Atiku, who brought him to the limelight, and again turned to his enemy.
