A good number of Boko Haram militants were killed on Friday evening during a failed attempt to attack military Barrack in Bama town of Bama local government area of Borno State, Owojela’s Blog reports.

Owojela’s Blog learnt that the attackers engaged the military within the hours of 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., before they were repelled.
A security source told the Media that the attackers burnt down one military vehicle and also killed a police officer while retreating after they were overwhelmed by the military.
“The Boko Haram elements tried to enter Bama Army barracks but they didn’t succeed; the military killed many of the terrorists,” the source hinted.
Attempt, however, to get the military to speak on the report did not yield result as the deputy director, army public relations, theatre command of the operation lafiya dole, Col. Onyema Nwachukwu did not pick his calls when DailyPost contacted.
