Due to the
incessant killings happening around Nigeria, Comrade Esther Eshiet would be convening
a Candle light session this Thursday, to draw Cross Riverians to notice the
mass deaths in the country.
The
statement by Esther eshiet in her Facebook wall reads below:
Dear Cross
Riverians
We have
witnessed the mostly bloody times in our Nation's history in the last decade.
In 2018
alone, over 3000 Nigerians have been killed by Fulani Herdsmen, Boko Haram, Cultists
and fellow Nigerians in bomb blasts, cult wars communal clashes and other
avoidable accidents.
Much more
alarming is the body language and inaction of Government at the Federal and
State Levels to all the these crisis in Cross River,Ebonyi, Adamawa, Benue,
Plateau, Taraba, Zamfara, Kaduna, Nassarawa.
The Nigerian
constitution stipulates that it is the primary responsibility of the government
to ensure the safety of lives and properties. We have been consistently
disappointed. Enough is Enough!
Join us for
a Candlelight Memorial on Thursday, July 5th by 6.00pm at The Millennium Park, Calabar.
