#Back2SchoolAfrica Empowers 50 children in Calabar

A non-governmental organization named #Back2SchoolAfrica comprising of Amadi Chukwuma Anklin, Guobadia Eseosa Bernardette, Eyo Okpo Itam, Nakanda Sylvia Umo and Mercy Christopher has pledged to support no fewer than fifty vulnerable children who were out of school in Calabar.

 Back2SchoolAfrica in partnership with Community Based organization named Positive Development Foundation responsible for identifying orphans and vulnerable children (OVCs ) with Independent Partner, LOPIN 3 has moved to empower no fewer than 50 children in Calabar community, this was officially revealed at the inaugural ceremony on Thursday 23rd of August 2018 at Positive Development Foundation (PDF) Office in Calabar, Cross River State, Nigeria.

 Executive Director of Positive Development Foundation (PDF), Mrs. Ese Nwakanma was present at the inaugural ceremony, representative from LOPIN 3, Mr. Obase was also in attendance as well as Community Volunteers, #Back2SchoolAfrica team, the PDF team members and also the VIPs of the day “the beneficiaries”.
Mrs. Ese Nwakanma of PDF gave a speech on the importance of education for every child and why parents should not compromise in sending their kids to school.
Mr. Amadi Chukwuma Anklin of the #Back2SchoolAfrica #the50Kidscampaign gave a speech on the essence of their project; to help send vulnerable children back to school as a new session starts in September 2018.

Mr. Obase shares his life story with beneficiaries

Mr. Obase of LOPIN 3 was very emotional at the event, saying he also experienced insuffiency in funding his education, Obase said while he was a child his mum sold all she had to keep him moving till he successfully graduated from the university, which made his mum proud of him. He advised the children to make use of the rare privilege they now have as education is key, for any nation to progress.
One of the beneficiaries of the #50KidsCampaign, 7 year old Favour Bassey asked why #Back2SchoolAfrica decided to sponsor her and other kids back to school and Mrs. Ese Nwakama of PDF replied saying “There is a dream every child needs to fulfill and education plays a vital role in helping any child fulfill his or her dream, with the support from the #Back2School team the dreams of you children would be fulfilled.”
 Another beneficiary named David Arthur Okon from Nsaha Effiom community appreciated the #Back2SchoolAfrica #50KidsCampaign team, the Positive development Foundation and LOPIN 3 for supporting his family by sending him back to school to make his dreams come through.
David promised that as soon as he is a position to assist in the future, he will also give back to the younger generation as he received support today. He also prayed for God’s blessing upon the #Back2SchoolAfrica team.

 Mrs. Veronica Bassey Etim, mother to a beneficiary poured out gratitude to the team for the works they are doing; to better the lives of other people's children. Veronica rained down blessings saying “You shall never lack anything in life, as you invest in the lives of these children, may yours never struggle for anything in life”.

Mrs. Glory Umoh, a Community Volunteer for PDF thanked #Back2SchoolAfrica, PDF and LOPIN 3 for making it happen and prayed for God’s blessings to all those involved.

The #Back2SchoolAfrica #50KidsCampaign is a movement committed to getting kids off the streets and into the classroom and also ensuring that those already in class have the resources to stay.
