See how some Gunmen assassinated APC treasurer

All Progressives Congress
Some gunmen on Wednesday invaded the home of the treasurer of the All Progressives Congress in Ekiti State, Moses Adeoye.

The assailants reportedly shot dead Adeoye while he ate at his residence in Otun-Ekiti, a town in the Moba Local Government Area of the state.
He had served as the chairman of the APC in the council before his recent emergence as the treasurer of the party in the state.
Confirming the incident, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ekiti, Caleb Ikechukwu, said the police had launched an investigation into the case.
He said, “The case has been reported to the police and our men have swung into action.
“We have started our investigation to make sure the perpetrators are arrested.
“We commiserate with his family and assure the people of Ekiti State that the police are on top of this matter.”
The APC Public Relations Officer in the state, Ade Ajayi, described the incident as ‘sad.’

Ajayi said the deceased was on the entourage of Governor Kayode Fayemi’s ‘Thank You’ visits to Ekiti North and South senatorial districts in Ido and Ikere-Ekiti on Wednesday.
“We have visited the family of the deceased. We are sending a petition to the police to unravel the cause of the death,” he said.
In a statement later issued by the state’s APC Chairman, Paul Omotoso, the party raised the alarm that its members were no longer safe.
Omotoso described Adeoye as a responsible, honest and committed party man, while praying that such would not happen again.
He described the incident as a terrible blow to Fayemi, the APC and the people of Moba.
The party leader urged the police to investigate the case and bring the perpetrators to book.
At the palace of the Oore of Otun, Oba Adedapo Popoola, Omotoso commiserated with the king and the people, urging them to take solace in God.
The Ekiti State Governor, Fayemi, in a statement on Thursday by his Chief Press Secretary, Yinka Odebode, asked the police to fish out the killers of the deceased.

Fayemi, according to the statement, vowed to get to the root of the killing, stressing that anyone found to be connected to it would be “dealt with decisively.”
He said his administration would work with security agencies to put an end to the spate of assassination and violence in the state.
